Coming Back From the Dead

I was sleeping yesterday when a call came in for me. When I woke up, I called back the number, thinking who might have called. Suddenly a man answered the phone, Matthew he said, from the 4A's. Suddenly my adrenaline went running and butterflies were flying not just in my stomach, but everywhere. He told me that I was nominated for a Merit, Bronze, Silver or Gold Award. I'm invited for the annual Kancil Awards night on the 1st October 2004. I'M INVITED TO THE PRESTIGOUS KANCIL AWARDS NIGHT!

I have lost hope, waiting for a call to at least tell me whether my work has qualified or not. They have 1 whole month and decided to tell me 3 days before the dinner! Not that I'm not happy, but the pain and suffering of not knowing anything, only God knows.

Kancil Award is an award given to the people in Malaysia who are involved in the ad industry. Best ad, copywriting, all those thingie. And every year, they will organize a Kancil Student Award, aimed at practitioners to be. So in a way, as a freshie, being nominated is like knocking at doors of my dream agency. Hey, I might just get a Merit award, but the chance to be with Malaysia's best ad people, to mingle and be around them is an honour itself. Anyway, this is the first time a student from UiTM will be going for such an event. So good luck to me!

Coming back from the dead. It has nothing to do with me actually. The title refers to the Real Madrid - AS Roma match early this morning. Madrid were down 2-0 in the first 20 minutes. The GALACTICO's were destined for doom. So it seems. You should have look at their faces. The producer seems to be showing Raul's, Zidane's and Beckham's sad face again and again until, Madrid did the impossible. They went on and won 4-2. Somewhere in my heart I knew Madrid will make a comeback. But not by 2 goals when it seems everything is going the wrong way for them. But as I always said to my friend, if there's any team which is capable of a miracle, it will always be Real Madrid.
