For every action, there will be a consequances!

On Monday, Corporal Jenain Subi was charged in the Sessions Court in the connection with the shooting death of teenager Aminulrasyid Amzah, 15 in Jalan Tarian 11/2 section 11 between 1.10 am and 2 am on April 26.

However, the main point that I would like to bring to note here is 15 years old, and the time of death, between 1.10 am and 2 am. While the authority has taken the steps to charged the policeman involved in the case, what’s due is, action towards the other party involved in this case.

While it’s against the law to talk about the on going case, I’m wondering if there would be anybody who will raise the child neglect aspect in this case. Child neglect that is so obvious that it resulted in a death.

What is an underage child doing outside of his secured house, in the wee hours, driving his sister car without license with or without his parent’s knowledge? Where is the responsible caretaker of this good boy?

Child neglect, while not a legal definition including Wikipedia could be separated into the following types: Failure to provide which includes Physical neglect, Emotional neglect, Medical neglect and Educational neglect. Failure to supervise includes Inadequate supervision and Exposure to violent environment. According to the Child Act 2001, a child means a person under the age of eighteen years. Also in the Child Act, it’s stated that any person who, being a person have the care of a child abuses, neglects, abandon or exposes the child in a manner likely to cause him physical or emotional injury commits an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding twenty thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding ten years or to both.

For a 15 years old to be out and about driving a car after midnight is sheer neglect. It is dangerous for even an adult let alone a child to be allowed to do so.

While this is incident is not an isolated case, as a lot of us has seen underage children driving around without license, wandering late at night and even smoking in public, yet when an incident like this occur, we forget the fundamental of it all. Such incident won’t happen if rules are followed and care takers are more responsible. In my adolescent’s years, my parents would be on their heels if I were not home by Maghrib let alone if I’m not home by 10pm. I would have been grounded. It happens less then 10 years ago and how time has changed.

In developed country, neglect cases such as this would result in action taken towards the caretaker. There are no such things as leaving your kids unattended or even not knowing where they are. Not that I want us to be anal in our political correctness like some lawyers are, but when its good for everyone’s well being, why don’t we take some heed from them?

At the end of the day, I hope this would be a lesson to all. For the police to do their job, we have to weight in by being a more responsible citizen. Rules are there for a purpose. Question is, the Corporal is facing the consequences of his actions, will the parents of the victim do?

Happy New Year!

There was no firework at my place this year. Unlike the year before, all was quite serene. Was I upset? Neah. Fireworks are cool but don't miss it. The rest of the people, at least those close to me did miss it.

Am busy retrofitting my old house into a Soho. The idea is to create a living room with a cosy environment that will also double as a gallery. Its almost there. To be exact, 80% of the work is done. It's just the kitchen. The contractor can't seem to finish it since last October!

So, befitting the new year mood, here's my resolution for 2009.

1. No more carbonated drinks.
Haven't drank Coke for a year, so I guess it's time to spread to the others.

2. More time spend exercising.
Nope, not that i will enter the gym or jog every morning. That wont materialized.
5 minutes cardio workout in the day time, 5 minutes in the evening. Anything else would be a bonus!

3. No more late dinner.
Not just its bad for your body, it makes you lazy!

4. More time with my camera.
Used to be with my camera 24/7. It stops when I became a full time photographer. This year would like to start a personal project, will not leave the camera home when going out and hopefully will publish my work.

5. No more late reply (email)
Will reply all my email as soon as I get it. Trust me when I say it wont be easy. 30-40 emails per day asking for quotations, setting up appointments etc. I NEED a secretary :p

Thats about it. Sure its not much, but hey, why make a list that you know the probality of achieving it is low. I list those in my dream for 2009 hehehe

A Mitsubishi Lancer • A Nikon D3 • A trip to New Zealand • A new GF and last but not least, more money hahaha... Eh, and world peace hahaha

Thank you Mr Coffey

For the first time last night, I sat through The Green Mile. I dont know why but I was seriously touched by the movie. No! I did not cry, but it made me start my new year with a prayer. It took me a damn western movie to knock some sense to me that there are much more to life.

The question was why is it a nice guy should be condemned with unhappiness. Coffey was blessed with a miracle to help others but yet cursed with having to deal with hatred and evil of others in his mind. Im not blessed with any miracle but I know the feeling when youre not appriciated.

This morning woke up and straight away picked up my gal at her house. She was so upset having to work on a holiday. But some how she manage to smile. I would do anything just to see her smile. And ive just pick her back up just now before accompanying her to the salon. She has a wedding to attend tonight and wanted to blow and curl her hair (which sometimes make me wonder why on earth did she rebond her hair last month?). It turned out to be a disaster. She was so upset. So we went to Watsons and bought some hair curler and hairspray. I do hope its turns out well. Not that she's not allready a lovely gal. An exciting start to the New Year for me *yawn*

Ive never talk about her rite? I'll write about her later lah.

Happy New Year - May what lies ahead will make you stronger and better.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Somebody ask me wheter its ok, while having a steady relationship, to actualy build up a new friendship with new, opposite sex friends.Depends on what youre looking for and what the new friend wants. But when you know it could turn up to be something else, why take the risk? You should somehow respect your partner feelings too. But knowing me, if it happens to me, I could never restrict my gal from doing so. Would you like to see your partner unhappy by saying no? I dont.

And I know, Im killing myself.

Sometimes being nice isnt enough...

Final 2 days before 2006. The day start with an appoinment with Ben, our carpet man. He is responsible to put up carpets at our concourse area for our CNY promo. Then met Alex, a very nice guy who have been helping me with producing the deco at the mall. A stop over at Zang Toi and in the afternoon a photoshoot for our over the dateline calendar.

They say that when a man loves a woman, he will climb the highest mountain and swim the seven seas, just to --- . Ive asked my office mates to be the model for my shoot and they agreed. Yat, who is considered as Facility Management can do gal was going to be photograph at the bowling centre while Chok, F&M exec will do the shopping at Zang Toi. With one condition, his partner must be the gal from the salon at our mall. By all mean, if she's lovely Im all set. And yes, she's kinda sweet. The photoshoot went well. But the pix werent. I was trying to portray a couple shopping happily but what I got was a sugar daddy and his mistress. Dissaster!

The thing is, the whole evening became great when, my Chok were paying for everything. We played bowling when we're only suppose to shoot some pix. He even brought us to dinner at Monte's, my fav western food restaurant. Wooing the gal he was. And to my and Yat's amazement, the gal responded positively. And the best part, Chok even told her that he's married with a kid!

You see, Chok is a nice guy. He really is. So perhaps in a way he deserve to receive such respond. But not all guys are that lucky.

As nice as you could be, as much as you would live your life for someone, sometimes you wont get the same luck.

New Year, New Resolution, Same Old Me

8 Months. That is quite a while. Working is busy, at least mine is. 8 months ago, I was employed. And to my surprise, Im still here. Its fun. Working in a shopping mall. Trust me, it is. You go to the office at nine never knowing what time you will go out. Like today, Ive just arrived at home. Well, I stayed back at the mall because me and my friends went to see the Actorlympic at TAS. Its a good one, miss it you shouldnt.

Did I tell you what I do here? Im working under the advertising & promotion department. My work scope? Everything from event organising to buying ice cream for a crying kid. Office hour? Depends on the season. Is the pay good? Sort of. Do I love working here? Damn I do.

Theres always drama here at the mall. Today, a kid was stuck at the escalator and fell down. Then when I was reading through the paper, somebody complain to the editorial that our foodcourt shortchanged him. 1 cent! 1 bloody cent! And Im still looking for vendors for our Chinese New Year promotion.

My whole life has changed. Bit by bit. Social life. New environment, new friends, new problems.

The thing is, I promise myself, that starting next year, I wanna make sure I read my blog at least once a week. My life is like soap opera, and why not bitch about it to everyone. Later.

I'm employed!!!!

Yup.. I'm now officially a person who will not have a life for the 5 years or so.
I was actually fooling around. Went for the first interview wearing a hawaiian shirt, I didnt even know where the office Im applying for was! The interview was held at their headquaters somewhere on the 38th floor in Kuala Lumpur. The only thing I cant recall is, my office to be was at the shopping complex where Canny Ong was kidnapped before being... you know what. The second interview was quite a breeze, I was actually ready. Still, out of all the candidates, I guess I'm the only one not wearing a tie. It was like, hey, am I sure I'm serious about all this? I was then with PuteriUMNO, coordinating their Jom!Baca program. I was in Shah Alam in the morning, in Seremban for lunch, drop by KL after that and wandering around Tampin in the evening. So what if they don't want me!

But, I was called in again, and for the first time I was there, in a shopping centre where I was destined to work at.Meeting the Asst.GM was quite an experiance. It was actually a breeze, to my surprise. There and then, somehow I know I was hired. I've just signed the contract. And in two days time I will be an A&P Executive in a highend shopping centre in Bangsar. So it is said.

Cuti-cuti Malaysia

It's not like I havent been to Malacca. Last year alone, I visited Malacca 4 times. The different is this time I'm off to relax, no more tour guide. I get to take pictures of myself, and play around without having to stop at every souvenir shop! Stay at a resort in Tanjung Bidara (the only one there I guess) The chalet were fine, thought it's a bit rusty there and there. But the food was bad, really bad! By the way it's a ctually a one day one night trip. Here's some pix!

With hand on heart

You right from the start

You Taught me to take my part

No cross to bear

No reason to care

My life was all up in air

Four to the floor I was sure, never seeing clear

I could have it all, whenever you are near

I in hand

Did not understand

The plight of the common man

Four to the floor I was sure, never seeing clear

I could have it all, whenever you are near

Four to the floor I was sure, that she would be my girl

We'd rent a little world, we'd have a little girl

Fallin'

Have you ever fell in love with someone's girl? I just did.

It seems that every time I set my eyes on some one, there will be always a catch. Last year, she was a lesbian, this year, she's some one else's. Now that’s a bit unfair. Its not like I'm that picky. Both of them are no Angelina Jolie or even Siti Nurhaliza. Just a normal girl, which caught my eyes.

And the biggest problem is, If I'm hook, it takes a while to get me off. Which will unfortunately brakes my heart in the end.

I have always believe in the idea that, love doesn’t always end in being together. Its like lending a hand to stranger, you'll feel good just to help. And I feel good if she's happy. But one of this days its gonna kill me.

So do I really need a girl that much? Neah, not really. Then why am I raving? I just don't know.. really.. I wonder why?

I'm not that Old!

Okey, so what if my birthday was yesterday? Who cares when I want to celebrate it? Hehehe I have thought about celebrating my birthday this year with my little bro's and sis's for quite a while. I was in Penang yesterday, so today seems a good day to have a party.

While everyone opt to celebrate their birthday at Planet, Zouk or even Mamak Bistro, I brought the whole troop to PDK Mutiara Hatiku, a daycare for down syndrome kids where I volunteer weekly. A few of my friends, who didn’t have any class this morning came to help out with everything.

Thanks a million to Zal! My favourite Sabahan. She wasn’t there but she made my day. I was upset she can't tag along, but it all went away when Bad pass me the cake Zal bought for me + the present. It wasn’t much, but I loved it. Mum packed up a box of goodie bag for the kids and Azhar gave me a few bottle of soft drinks.

The kids love the cake. And I was happy, seeing them happy. Not to mention 1 of my crush was also there hehehe

And while I was there, Akak Liza whispered to me, 'Bila boleh tolong cat rumah? Dah boring tgk warna pink' (When can we have a new coat of paint? We're a bit bored with pink')

Soon, very soon…

Lost in Penang

Nope, I didnt lose myself in Penang's beauty, or the famous Anak Mami. Me and my friends, we did literaly got lost in Penang!
Off to Penang for the Seminar Kebangsaan Kelab Penyayang (paperwork on OKU, Orang Kurang Upaya/Disable Person), we were hosted by USM Penang. The place was nice. We stayed in a new apartment like hostel. It was a nice place. The almost 7 hour ride from Shah Alam seems nothing. But as we arrived around 8.30pm, the only thing we can see is the Penang Bridge pilon.

We were lucky to have our driver Abang Lan to stay with us. With him we were able to sneak out (actually there's no curfew in USM unlike UiTM's 11 pm gate shut) after 12 midnight and go anywhere. And everytime we go out, we get lost. At one time we circled around Komtar for about 5 times! The signage was bad. I mean, VERY BAD! The one way roads doesnt help either.

While we were there, we visited the NSTP branch to submit our donation for the Tsunami Victims Fund. It wasnt much, but the thought that counts. RM 700 was donated to the funds.

6 of us, me, Syed, Zal, Alin, Anum and Bad were the mischievious among all other participant from Universities all around Malaysia. None of us brought anything so formal. It was like half of the conference room were wearing tie except for us. At one time, our girls did the most embarrassing thing, they were hiding under the table, trying to take a nap when suddenly one of the gals phone rung. I was sitting with the committee members were on the opposite site of the room when we saw a hand appearing from below the table looking for the hp! Everybody laugh out loud. I laugh in tears!

But 1 moment I'll remember for a long time was at the gala dinner. My pals did something I didnt expect at all. They announced and sang Happy Birthday to me. The best part, I hid myself under the table. They caught me off guard. I was preety sure they didnt know about me turning 1 year older that night. Somehow they did. Thanks guys! Really appreciate what you did.

Here's some pix to look at:

Me busy, but me is back!

Happy New Year to all! I guess its not to late.
Its been a while since I last wrote here. A bit busy. Wanna know something? I failed my mandarin, yet again. And I will be here in my beloved university for a tad longer. I can't believe it, they wont cut some slack for me! Another whole seester for an elective subject? Geezz!

At the moment a bit busy with my club. I'm going to Penang this Friday. Will be there for 3 days, I hope I will be able to experience on my own what the Tsunami have done over there. Me and my friends will bring along some clothes ( I heard they don't need it anymore, but what the heck, we've collected it, so we'll sent it ) and many collected from our neighbours. From what I've heard, its worst then what you see in TV. But I guess, Acheh might be worst.

Now lets talk abut me! Hehehe
Before I forget, Ying, have you receive my postcard?
2004 have been good to me. You can read all about it in my last blogs. I would love if 2005 will bring me more happiness. Im starting class this Thursday. I've made a new friend, a very sweet friend. Manja skit tapi bayak sangat cerita. So thats great, I love listening. Even though the Tsunami incident took the spotlight this new year, I still believe that my new year is a good one. Well atleast it started in a good note.

So, this year, for the first time ever, I'll have a resolution! ( never believe in it before )
1. Me want to pass my mandarin paper and start to work full time!!!!!!!!
2. Me want to write in this blog atleast 3 times a week!!!!!!
3. Me want to be a better person then before, eat healthy, start jogging and maybe sleep early.
4. Me want to continue to visit my litle brothers and sisters. You know, they are cute.

I think thats about it for now. Anyway, there's some picture to see. Its taken at the place where I volunteer weeky.

Everybody knows!

Tomorrow is the day for the two Malaysian idol contestant. Nothing much to comment. Malaysian has shown that we’re good voters. Nevermind who wins tomorrow, we’ll have another star in the making. Dina and Jac can sure sing. They have the attitude. And they have the will to win. It’s gonna be tough for me to choose the winner. So good luck!

In a month we’re also gonna see another much anticipated result. Who’s gonna be the next Prez of the United States? With the heats going up day by day, Bush is still today, according to poll leading Kerry. I just can’t understand what the Americans sees in Bush? One thing I know, is that Bush is smarter than he is credited for. Hahaha, I’m not kidding. Read on.

Bush is an opportunist. An imperialist egotistical opportunist. A smart one at it too. For a Muslim, I knew something bad would happen when I saw the WTC felt down crushing. There’s the reason. Attack Afghanistan to track down Osama who until today is nowhere to be found. (For all we know he’s in Texas hehehe) While we’re at that why don’t we attack Iraq? Dad says they’re up to no good. By the way, they do have oil; oh I mean WMD don’t they?

There’s other sorta lies or “misleading” incident even in the United States herself. What the people want now is the truth! While Bush is denying all the accusations, he still stands firm on all decision he made. When will the people realize that Bush will never admit his fault? It’s not profitable for him. If he loses, then he will be jotted down in the book of history as a bloody liar and worst Prez America has ever had. If he win’s, which is not impossible, he will proud to brag that he is man with a firm stand. Why should he tell you the truth? Why would you ask for the truth? You damn know the truth!

There is no WMD in Iraq, but there’s for sure oil there. Saddam who hides in a rat hole was never a threat. He declared victory in Iraq, yet today, over 400 soldier died. Terrorist starts war, so what should we call Bush when he attacked Iraq? Bush is not protecting America from terrorist, he is asking for more attacks! He’s making more enemy than allies. While at it, he’s also making more money. Man, 1 more term and he’ll be richer than Bill Gate’s. Just think.

To makes things easier, why don’t the other countries, combine power, and let’s attack America instead. Bush have WMD, he might, and would use it to any country. Bush is a threat to peace! Give the White House a 30 days warning to hand over Bush (we’ll attack on the 15th day), we trial him and let America vote for a new Prez. Now wouldn’t that be great to see. (Luckily I can’t be arrest under the Patriot act hehehe)

No, I’m not for Kerry. Everybody in the world just want someone else rather than Bush. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to see that Bush is not well liked. But I’m not putting much hope. I did the same thing an applauded when Gore lost years back. Now see what happen?

There's no use asking him to admit his lies. Everybody knows what he did.

New snapshots in progress

Tomorrow, or I guess its this morning, Shah Alam will again host the National Fire Fighters day. From last years experience, even though I wasnt prepared for what to expect, the show was great. The colours, fire engine, people and gimmick was awesome. Hope for the same experience this year. Wait up for the project outcome!
